Where have all the flowers gone?

field 2015- lettersprayed field- letter

Where have all the flowers gone? Last July (2015) when I drove by a field of wild flowers located to the west on Hutchison Drive between Syer and Larmer line, I stopped to admire a field of black-eyed susans, daisies and many others flowers. This July when I went to see the fields again, this is what I found- just brown fields. I thought Hydro One had sprayed, but that was not the case. They informed me that the township had sprayed, but when asked, the township staff said they had been asked by the County to spray the ditches for noxious weeds only. Not sure who sprayed herbicide on these fields, but in a time when we are asking people to plant wild flowers for the honey bee organizations, no one should be applying herbicides that kill all vegetation.
