I want to thank our communities for having the faith in me to continue to follow my passion. There is nothing more than believing in the importance of a strong public education system. This has been both my passion and my drive for many years. The areas that I represent a large area, I know you are most concerned about what is happening in your area. I am well aware that we need a new school in this part of our community. Some may feel that the Board is falling behind. That is not a reality. While I have been advocating for a new school. The Board works with both the County and municipality developing long term plans. We are now at the stage that we need the developer to meet their obligations to both sever the land that has been put aside for this, and provide the necessary services, before we can move forward with the next steps. We have come through two very challenging years and moving forward it is important for them to have a safe inclusive learning environment for them to flourish.
Over the years, I have had to make many difficult decisions. The decisions I have made, have always been in the best interest of the students. I understand that these may always be challenging. I will continue to use my knowledge, passion and commitment to learning and understanding in order to make the most for our children. They deserve the best possible in order for them to succeed.
