African Violets
Join us on Wednesday Oct. 3rd at 7:30 PM the Millbrook & Area Garden Club as we host a presentation by Margaret and Bob Burley, featuring a “Show and Tell” all about tropical houseplants, including Orchids and African Violets (Gesneriads) and their care and repotting. Margaret and Bob have owned and operated Burley’s Gardens, located at 2604 Television Road in Peterborough for the past 18 years. The Gardens, which our club visited in June, features 12 gardens on 2 acres, and specializes in unusual annuals, heritage perennials, flowering shrubs, clematis, and includes a gift shop, and the new Orchid/ Tropical House. There will be plants for sale from Burley’s Gardens at this meeting, cash or credit card accepted.
The event is held at St. Thomas Anglican Church Hall in Millbrook. Please park in the back parking lot and bring your own mug. The cost is $3.00 at the door.
