Dressing up for Trivia

Drum roll please!  On the red carpet March 28 will be the glitterati of Cavan Monaghan and beyond, dressed to the nines for A Night at the Movies-themed Trivia Night!  Dressing as your screen idol is optional, but definitely adds to the fun.  And fun it will be, with the always in-character Rachel Finnie at the mic.

Millbrook has been transformed into a number of interesting locations, from Lucy Maud Montgomery’s Charlottetown and Stephen Leacock’s fictional Mariposa to small town Indiana, and River City, Iowa.  To name just a few.  There have been times when you might strike up a conversation downtown with the likes of Robert Pattinson, Kim Cattrall or Viggo Mortensen.  Has this left us all a little star-struck?  Let’s find out!

For MCHS, history is not just important and interesting, but it’s also worth sharing with a crowd.  Our March 28 Trivia Night will give us a chance to glance back over a century of movie-making that reveals some fun facts of history: tastes and trends, politics and prejudices, the good, the bad, and yes, the ugly.

Be ready for a few new twists and scene-stealers from MC Rachel and her trivia sidekick Dan.  Team up or come solo to vie for the prize and claim your spot in the limelight.  Most of all, come for the fun, and a little well-focused silver screen history quiz, well spiced with some local flavor.

Doors open at 6:45 for our Night at the Movies Trivia Night on Thursday, March 28, with the action set to start at 7 pm sharp.  Teams can pre-register via our Facebook page, or sign up on site.  Solo contestants always welcome.
