COMMENT: Are We There Yet?

Since the Stay-at-Home Order, the downtown has often seemed like a ghost town. Our merchants need support – we look forward to going inside in the weeks ahead, but in the meantime, they could use some curbside pick-up business to allow them to serve us in the days to come.

Not quite, but we’re getting closer.

With COVID-19 cases falling and vaccine rates rising, it’s hard to image that we won’t be released from our homes in some small way in the next two weeks.  Tying re-opening phases to case counts and administered vaccinations is a policy that actually supports the cliché that “we’re all in this together”.  It makes it clear that if you’re not helping us move forward, you’re holding us back.  The decision may be yours, but it affects us all.  KG
