Once again, the Millbrook Legion is hosting a Rubber Duck Race as part of their Canada Day celebrations. Participants pay to place a duck in the race, vying for prizes. This year’s event starts at 3pm in the creek behind the legion building, where 300 rubber participants will be launched in the creek, hurtling towards the finish line. Funds raised in this competition will be used to support the Millbrook South Cavan Public School and North Cavan Public school breakfast programs. Due to the popularity of the event, tickets are already sold out, but visitors are encouraged to come and cheer on your favourite plastic yellow bird. KG
