Photo Karen Graham. The forecast threatened the first outdoor movie event hosted by the Recreation staff last month, but a back-up plan to move it into the Banquet Hall gave them the confidence to proceed. More than 175 residents set up lawn chairs and blankets to watch The Super Mario Bros movie on a large screen set up behind the CMCC. Those who arrived early enjoyed spending some energy at the playground or in games in the studio to blow off some steam before settling down with some popcorn served by Luigi himself, supervised by a pair of Marios. Distant lightening encouraged a speedy departure at the end of the movie. The turnout encourages the possibility of future events. This one was sponsored by OLG. Pass the popcorn!
