The pandemic affected almost everyone’s pocket book, including local clubs and service organizations. During the pandemic, the fundraising role in the Millbrook Minor Hockey club stood vacant at a time when the association was operating at a deficit. The club has decided to get back on track and focus on replenishing the coffers to ensure they can continue to offer a successful hockey program to the community.
As part of this initiative, they are holding two fundraising events over the next few months. First is the return of the Annual Minor Hockey golf tournament. This year the event is scheduled for June 3rd at Keystone Links golf course. The club is currently recruiting sponsors and players for this event.
Later this summer, the club will host a three Pitch Tournament at Maple Leaf Park on August 19th. Registration is $250 per team, which must include at least four female players.
