Lions and Township Sign Two-Year Extension for Lions’ Den Lease

In 1996, a 25-year lease for the property that is now knows as the Lions’ Den was signed. Since its expiry in 2021, township staff and members of this local service organization have been working together to establish a new agreement.  At Monday’s Council meeting, a new, two-year deal was signed, which extends the club’s use of the facility until December 31st, 2025 for an annual rate of $1.  The extension allows both parties time to find a long term solution that supports the needs of this significant community organization. The tenant remains responsible for general maintenance such as cleaning, yard and lot maintenance and utility expenses with an upset limit of $1500.  It is not required to contribute to any capital expenditures on the property.  KG
