Talent of Young Local Artists Brightens Up Community Spaces

Blank Canvas Hair and Art Studio is currently featuring art from local artists under eighteen years of age in her studio on King Street. Millbrook Foodshare Director Lori Lazaros Beeby took note and approached Stacey to see if any of these artists would consider creating a mural of some sort at the food bank to make the space more cheerful and inviting.  Stacey was immediately on board and recruited two young artists to help create the installation.  Foodshare board members are delighted with the results, and have asked if there are more artists interested in sharing their talents with additional pieces.

Stacey is currently recruiting eight more young artists to create 16” by 20” pieces and is handing out canvases for the projects.  These pieces will be displayed in the Foodshare space as well as at the Millbrook library.  To participate in this community art project, contact Stacey at 705-991-2887 or drop into the studio.
