Thanks to the generosity of the community, bottle donation receipts for 2023 collected at Millbrook Farm and Pet Supply surpassed $14,000. These funds were paid forward to a variety of local organizations including the Millbrook and District Foodshare, Millbrook Community Care, the Millbrook Lions’ Club, the Hospital for Sick Children and the Millbrook and Cavan Historical Society. Donations collected during the first two weeks of January will be provided to Cavan resident Sherry Crawford, whose house suffered an extensive fire last month. Sherry was featured in last month’s edition of the Millbrook Times after one of her pieces was featured in an installation at Toronto’s Nathan City Hall. She is grateful that most of her art seems to have been spared, suffering only smoke damage. KG
