Enbridge’s Safe Community Program

Mayor McFadden accepts a cheque for $10,000 from Brent Bullough, Community Engagement Advisor for Enbridge Pipelines which will be used in the purchase of a new set of EJaws. This equipment is used by Fire Department staff to extricate crash victims and those trapped in small spaces. The funds come from Enbridge’s Safe Community program, launched in Canada in 2009 which awards grants to local first-responders including fire fighters in rural communities to be directed to the purchase of safety equipment, provide training and obtain professional training.
