Down The Line

The Creamery was another favourite place to go while we were in town. They had the best ice cream! While my parents would obtain their meat, frozen vegetables and fruits from the lockers there, we would indulge in a Mellow Roll ice cream. They were oh, so good! We were not so impressed however, with having to go to the cold storage room to bring out the supplies that were needed for the next week’s meals, but if we wanted to be fed, we had to make the dreaded trip to that very cold place. Never forgetting the reward of ice cream if we did what was asked of us.

Another place that served ice cream was Wood’s restaurant where I had my first banana split ever. The owner’s dog would amble about the diner probably hoping for a taste of ice cream too.
