Computer Solutions “Plus” donated five laptop computers to the Belize Project. Pictured are Mike VanDrunen, Wayne Blaby and Reverend Peter Mills.

Rev. Mills, from St. John’s Anglican Church in Ida, accepted the five laptops from Computer Solutions “Plus”. These laptops were donated to Wayne Blaby by his customers, when they bought a new laptop.

Mike cleaned and upgraded the laptops so they may be used in Belize. Rev. Mills will join a group of volunteers who will travel to Belize in February and he will deliver one laptop to Christ the King Anglican Church. He will deliver three laptops to Christ the King Anglican Primary School and the fifth laptop will be given to Oneydi, a high school student attending Ecumenical High School in Dangriga. Oneydi lives in the back country and has been awarded a Tuition Scholarship for her four years of high school.

A team of five volunteers will leave for Belize on February 21. They are still seeking the assistance from the community in finding adult size soccer shoes to bring to Belize. Anyone who can help, may drop them off at the Millbrook Home Hardware store. Or, they are welcome to bring them to St. John’s on any Sunday at 9.30 am. Parking is free and coffee is served after the service.
