CITV Community Policing

Pictured are two of the people who are on site before the event began, John MacFarlane, the Chairperson of the Community Policing Committee. Beside him is Marian Corf one of the Millbrook’s longest serving volunteer members (with her husband George) of multiple causes. Next to Marion are Dave and Keri Nicolaou, a third generation of beekeepers.

Christmas in the Village 2019 was possible because of the many groups and people who organize, plan and execute events such as this year’s Christmas in the Village. The Township of Cavan Monaghan and the Millbrook Business Improvement Area are the lead planers, in support are the many sponsors such as Nexicom, Foodland and Bethany Real Estate. Of course without the vendors and stores on King Street, there would be no Christmas event.

John was on site at 1 pm for an event that began at 5 pm. Of course there were many others involved such as Township workers and BIA members. Pictured beside Marion are Dave and Keri Nicolaou, a third generation of beekeepers. Their farm is at 1331 Zion Line and is open for tours, by appointment.

New members are always welcome to join the Community Policing Committee who are affiliated with the Peterborough Police Service and supported by the Cavan Monaghan Township. Please call John at 705-761-6899 for more information.
