The former TD Bank building in Bethany has received a tasteful transformation into a new retail outlet. Located at 1475 Highway 7A beside the general store, Kawartha Fireplace & More will open its doors in early February assuming health regulations allow, but if you can’t wait, a preview is available on their newly-launched website, KawarthaFireplace.ca. They are also accepting inquiries and orders over the phone for items amongst their extensive choice of indoor and outdoor propane and gas products.
The business is new, but their owners Ryan Garniss, Mark Wuorisalo, and Melissa Lloyd bring years of business experience to the new venture. As an HVAC contractor, Garniss brings his experience to the selection and installation of a wide variety of gas and propane fireplaces selections. Wuorisalo is a construction and landscape contractor and will help customers select the best fireplace in a new build or retrofit one into an existing space. In addition to traditional indoor units, the pair will also install outdoor features, as Mark helps expand customers’ outdoor spaces with permanent barbeques, fireplaces and firepits that increase the appeal and pleasure of their customers’ own backyards. Melissa Lloyd’s experience is in the corporate world, and as Office Manager, she will supervise the financial and administrative aspects of the new business.
