by: Karen Graham On May 26, 150 concerned citizens met at I. E. Weldon Secondary School in Lindsay to hear three of the four provincial candidates for the Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock riding in an All Candidates Meeting organized by the Lindsay and District Chamber of Commerce.  

The Sumac Ridge Environmental Review Tribunal (ERT) reconvened by teleconference last Friday, May 23, to hear an update from wpd, the developer of the Sumac Ridge industrial wind project, and the Ministry of the Environment, regarding the project’s status.

Millbrook writer and visual artist Judith Graham as well as 4th Line Theatre’s Managing Artistic Producer Kim Blackwell will join 40 or so other Kawartha area artists participating in Public Energy’s Erring on the Mount.

Clela Errington, with Jocelyn Barth, are the featured artists this Friday at the Mt. Pleasant Women’s Institute Hall.

The Millbrook & Area Garden Club will hold their annual Spring Plant Sale on Sunday, June 1, 10 am-2 pm at the Old Millbrook School, 1 Dufferin Street.
