Letter to the Editor #3

Many times, we have been told by Hydro One, delivery charges on our hydro bill is approximately 30% of the cost of the electricity we are being charged for. People living in rural area’s “may be charged a little more”, I do understand that, but what do they mean by “a little more”? I do live in a rural area.

I have been keeping track of my hydro bills for a while now. The delivery charges on my bills have varied from 80% to 121%. The last bill I received covering the cost of Hydro used in the month of December, show my hydro use cost $70.08, and my delivery charge is $85.11. Maybe I am getting old and my brain may be lacking something, but one thing I know, either, I am an idiot or someone at the Hydro is. The delivery charge on my last hydro bill is 121% of electricity used.
