Karen Graham On Tuesday, February 17, the Millbrook & District Chamber of Commerce held their annual general meeting at the Parkway Place Banquet Hall on Lansdowne Street West in Peterborough.

Celia Hunter “Disappointing but not surprising” is how City of Kawartha Lakes councillor Heather Stauble characterizes the recent Environmental Review Tribunal decision ruling in favour of wpd Canada’s Sumac Ridge wind turbine project.  Councillor Stauble is currently reviewing the 207 page Decision in detail.

The Millbrook and Area Garden Club will hold its first 2015 meeting on Wednesday, March 4, with guest speaker Shawn Bloom from Ethic Tree Creations.

Volunteer actors in the community have a chance to try out for parts in the upcoming 4th Line Theatre season productions this Saturday, February 28 at the Centreville Presbyterian Church Hall.

For those interested in learning about volunteering for Hospice Peterborough, coming up are two opportunities to attend an evening introductory orientation session on Wednesday, March 4 and on Thursday, March 12.
