In the midst of a winter storm last Tuesday, November 19, a sizeable crowd was on hand at the Pontypool Community Centre when local presenters were given their chance to speak at the Environmental Review Tribunal Hearing into the Sumac Ridge Industrial Wind Turbines project.

At this month’s Board of Health meeting, the Peterborough County-City Health Unit released its annual Limited Incomes: A Recipe For Hunger report based on the recent Nutritious Food Basket survey.

Environmental Review Tribunal Begins Hearing

Andy Harjula The Environmental Review Tribunal (ERT) began hearing objections on Monday to the approval for WDP Canada to build five industrial wind turbines on the Oak Ridges Moraine. Approximately 52 residents were in attendance at the first day of hearings.
