Solar Farm Proposed for Former Buffalo Ranch

A delegation from Recurrent Energy made a presentation to Cavan Monaghan Council at their regular meeting on April 13, proposing installation of a 20 megawatt solar farm on rural land in North Monaghan Ward. The project would cover 150 acres, buffered by natural treed areas, north of the current location of the house and barns currently owned by Dr. Bill Belch and family, on land designated ‘rural’ in the township Official Plan.
