We are starting to line-up guest speakers for our Wednesday Coffee and Conversations. Our first guest is Rob Hiseler from Hiseler Law in Millbrook. Rob will answer your questions about wills and estate planning – difficult topics but very important. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, December 7th from 11-12 – Coffee and Conversation with Rob Hiseler at the Library.
Contact Erin if you would be interested in being a guest speaker at our Wednesday Coffee and Conversation. These discussions will be very informal. Drop by the Millbrook Branch and enjoy a cup of coffee (or tea or hot chocolate) with the Library staff – find out who drinks coffee and who doesn’t! It’s a great time to have a chat with Karla – she is the CEO and makes decisions for both branches or Millbrook Branch Librarian Erin.
If you are interested in joining the Library Board, the Township is accepting applications until 4pm on Thursday, December 8th. Ask Karla or Erin for details.
Our Toonie Tuesday Movies are back! At 6:30 on December 6th, we will be showing Top Gun: Maverick! In January and going forward, Toonie Tuesday Movies will be moving to the 2nd Tuesday of the month (January 10th).
There will be three Saturdays of events at the Cavan Monaghan Libraries:
Saturday, December 10th, at the Millbrook Branch, in conjunction with the Santa Claus Parade, we will be offering Christmas themed crafts for the little ones to take part in. The fun starts at 11am. Watch our website and social media for details!
Saturday, December 17th, at the Bruce Johnston Branch, we will be having Community Crafts for families including cookie decorating! Who doesn’t love food? Activities will be available from 11-2.
Saturday, December 24th, both branches will have reduced hours – from 10-1; drop in for a quiet visit with the staff – a “respite from the busyness”. There might even be some treats to quietly enjoy.
The Cavan Monaghan Libraries will close at 1pm on December 24th and will reopen on Tuesday, January 3rd at 10am.
Throughout the month of December, we will continue with our regular programs of Sensory Bins and Storytime Skills for Preschoolers. Please see the newsletter for more information.
