Have you always wanted to act onstage?
Want to be part of an epic outdoor production in your community? Have you ever wondered how 4th Line productions come to life? Interested in learning new skills and working alongside professional actors, directors and choreographers? 4th Line Theatre is looking for volunteers to perform in its production of Lindy Finlan’s The Fool of Cavan: A Christmas Caper.
Auditions and interviews will be held on Tuesday October 8th from 3:00 pm to 7:00 p.m. at 4th Line Theatre Box Office, 4 Tupper Street Millbrook ON, L0A 1G0. People will be seen in order of arrival. Even if you have limited acting experience but are interested in bringing our region’s history to life on stage, consider auditioning. Previous acting experience is not required.
“Volunteers have been the cornerstone of 4th Line Theatre’s creative activities for 28 seasons since its inception in 1992,” states Managing Artistic Director Kim Blackwell. “This is where the community and art meet. This is a real opportunity to express yourself, learn and grow and join our team.”
The Fool of Cavan: A Christmas Caper is a Nancy Drew Style Mystery. Set in the 1960s in Millbrook, a church congregation is divided when props and costumes for the upcoming Christmas concert go missing. The Needlers, a band comprised of local young people, are accused of being the culprits. Tensions mount and the Needlers take to the streets of Millbrook to solve the mystery and clear their names.
4th Line is looking for volunteers of all ages for general auditions and encourage artists of all backgrounds to apply.
If the limelight does not interest you, 4th Line Theatre also needs people to assist our front of house staff to greet and seat the audience (and see the shows for free!), and we are always looking for volunteers to help backstage with makeup and hair, costumes, set and prop painting, running crew and other production tasks.
