As the summer winds down it is a great time to collect seeds to add to our Seed Library: 1) Collect seeds and bring to either branch. 2) Fill out envelope with seed description and growing conditions. 3) Borrow from the seed library, grow, harvest the seeds and return them to the seed library. Drop seeds off at any time.
Join us for our Toonie Tuesday Movie the first Tuesday of the month. This month’s feature film is “On Chesil Beach”. Showtime is at 6:30 PM.

We will be ‘Crafting it Forward’ on September 18th at the Millbrook Branch, starting at 6pm. We will be making concrete planters, this will follow our Make it Forward programming motto of “make one for fun, and one to donate to the library”. Do not ‘dress to impress’ for this activity.
Why not stay after making your planter, and join us for a game of Farkle from 7 pm till 8 pm.? Farkle is an easy dice game that can be played by any number of players. Bring your own team, or plan to meet new people and join a team here at the Millbrook Branch. This activity is recommended for ages 8 and up.
We will be hosting a family friendly PA Day movie on the 28th at 2:00 pm at the Millbrook Branch. Come and enjoy a screening of ‘Early Man’.
Crafting with Judi this month is a Paper Origami Quilt. You can join her at the Bruce Johnston Branch on Tuesday the 25th at 4:00 pm, or in Millbrook on Saturday the 29th from 10:30 am till 3pm as a drop in craft.
Stuck with what to do with all the fresh local produce available? We will be hosting our 2nd Cookbook Club at the Bruce Johnston Branch on the 29th from 1:00 pm till 2:00 pm. This is a potluck based group. Simply check out a cookbook from either branch, take a browse, choose a recipe, prepare your recipe to present to the group, and then give a quick review of the book.
The Cavan Monaghan Libraries is excited to announce its upcoming partnership with local homeschoolers. We will offer programming at the Millbrook Branch to assist families in their homeschooling pursuits the first Wednesday of the month starting Wednesday, October 3rd from 10:00 am-11:30 am.
