At Barry McCamus` farm stand in Cavan, they are already into their second crop of corn. This farmer prefers to stick to one type of corn, and it`s a popular one: Peaches and Cream. In order to extend the season, their crop is staggered, with planting occurring every other week for 6 weeks, which extends their season from late July until mid-September.
Ontario grows three types of sweet corn: standard, sugar-enhanced and supersweet. Each contains three different colour groups: yellow, bicolour (yellow-and-white) and white.
