Members and visitors were treated to some fun and food after the Fall Welcoming Service last month at St. John’s Anglican Church, Ida.
St. John’s Church, Ida had a wonderful “Fall Welcoming Festival” on Sunday, September 11th. Our worship time included many familiar, uplifting hymns and choruses, as well as scripture readings, prayers and a message to encourage us in our life of following Jesus.
After church, both old and young moved outdoors to try their skills at hula hoops, frisbee golf, croquet, corn bag toss, crafts and other activities. Many also simply enjoyed renewing friendships and catching up on summer adventures.
Of course, a fun time couldn’t be complete without great food. Our team of experienced chefs provided us with ‘burgers and dogs’ with all the trimmings as well as the sweetest corn of the season.
With thanksgiving in our hearts, we all went home well satisfied after a wonderful morning together.
We would welcome anyone to join us for worship on Sundays at 10:00 am.
