For the eighth year, Sky Haven Equestrian located at 184 Ski Hill Road in Bethany, is hosting a Hunter-Jumper Show Series featuring four events.
Open to all ages and experiences levels, the shows provide the opportunity for riders to compete in a beautiful setting with a large outdoor sand ring, indoor facilities and friendly staff.
Sky Haven Equestrian Centre is a family owned business located just north of Bethany, offering riding lessons, equine wellness treatments and hosting horse shows. The focus of instruction is on the disciplines of Dressage and Hunter Jumper building skills required in competition. Equine wellness services include natural horsemanship, laser therapy, massage, and Tellington Touch. In addition to the horse show series, the centre offers day camps and horse boarding services.

The first of four competitive events was held on May 12th and featured 63 horse and rider combinations supported by spectators, coaches, family members and helpers. Participants and spectators enjoyed the show, despite the inhospitable wet and cold conditions. Riders age four to adults in their 60’s participated, mounted on horses including novice animals to seasoned veterans.
The hunter-jumper and jumper divisions in the Sky Haven Shows include a lead line class for beginners and a flat class for those that don’t jump. Every champion takes home a prize, and the top finishing riders in the specialty class share a $250 prize. The winner gets a horse blanket embroidered with sponsor’s name and the year and Champion.
