Summer and her mother Heather are ready to provide bar services at private celebrations in the area.
Summer and Heather Osborne are a mother-daughter owner/operator team of a new business called Bar2U.
Like many new ventures, this one was created in response to a need they discovered accidently while making preparations for a local wedding during the pandemic. The search for bartender and server help for special events in their Bethany neighbourhood yielded a few expensive alternatives.
Equipped with Smart Serve Certifications, the duo decided to seize the opportunity to fill this gap with the launch of a new small business they call Bar2U. As the name suggests, they travel to venues hosting celebrations and special events to provide bartending and serving support. The festivities include weddings, Jack and Jill parties, showers and significant milestones and may be organized by individuals or hosted in venues like the Century Barn in Cavan.
The pair has developed a broad drink menu and are keen to learn new ones to meet the tastes of their customers. The host provides the license, barware and beverage ingredients; Summer and Heather bring the know-how and a customer-service attitude.
This is not the first venture for Summer Osborne. In 2020, she launched her marketing business called Sunny Skyes Marketing in late 2020 to help businesses boost their online presence during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through this venture she provides marketing and tech savvy to clients across a diverse range of businesses from contractors, real estate professionals, designers and retail operators from a tool box of traditional marketing techniques, as well as brand development, web design and social media support.
Apparently their new venture is hitting the right notes, as the pair already has many bookings for the 2023 season from hosts of events including weddings. They look forward to discovering ways to build this business and expand their services. KG
