With over 55 artists from across Ontario competing for $3000 in prizes, expect to see a lot of painting going on in and around the township this weekend. You can participate by nominating your favourite piece in the People’s Choice Award.
The actual painting begins on Saturday at 10 am in the location that inspire the artists in the village of Millbrook and in the Cavan countryside.
Saturday, October 1st
- Legion Full Breakfasts $7 from 8 to 10 a.m. and bag lunch available
Free children’s art activities:
- at the Millbrook Library from10:30-11:30 & 1:00 to 2:00
- at the Millbrook Legion Millbrook from 2:30 – 3:30
- at the Cavan Art Academy from 4:15 to 5:15
- Saturday from 6 to 9 pm: Free Jamboree (limited seating) at Legion featuring Just Plain Country and Victoria Pearce providing a Patsy Cline Tribute
Sunday October 2nd
- Children’s activity at the Cavan Art Academy from 10:00 to 11:00
- ‘THE BIG REVEAL” Awards Ceremony & Reception at Galerie Q 1521 County Road 10, Cavan, from 2:00 to 3:00
- “Fresh Off The Easel Sale” Maple Leaf Park Cavan – County Road 10 & Hwy 7A and in Millbrook on King Street
- 25% of Art Sales to Community Care Millbrook, ON.
