You don’t need an excuse to take the evening off for a little girl time. The Millbrook BIA’s Annual Ladies’ Night Event provides an opportunity to ladies (and gents) of all ages to enjoy an evening of indulgence strolling through the downtown where there will be sights, sounds and tastes for everyone. The street will be adorned by our energetic Decorating committee members who have designed some new and beautiful decorations to enhance your experience at Ladies’ Night. Watch for some Fascinating Birds!
Some of the highlights this year include musical guests The Rick and Gailie Band who will provide musical back ground from 4 to 6pm and again from 7 to 9pm. There will also be a cameo performance shortly after 4 pm by 4th Line Theatre performers. To get more action on the street, Julie Fallis of Move and Groove Dance Studio will provide a dance demo from 6 to 6:30, followed by Ed Roche of Black Sun Do Jo with a Self-Defence Demo from 6:30 to 7 pm.
Shops will be open with special features, and the street will be filled with vendor booths offering products including pottery, clothing, jewellery, home decor, purses, face painting, make-up, information, flowers, art, oils, and much more. Shoppers make a purchase from one of the downtown shops will receive a ballot to win the popular Diva Basket filled with Gift Certificates from the Merchants of the Millbrook BIA and all done up beautifully with chocolate by Millbrook Valley Chocolates.
Of course shoppers will need food to keep their energy up for the evening, and there will be lots of interesting food available from our local food establishments, with some new options as well.
On August 3rd, make your way down to our Village in the Valley for some fun and female bonding, and give a boost to the local economy without breaking the bank. (which will be gone by then anyway.) You will find a wide selection of products and services to inspire, a party atmosphere and friendly, familiar faces to help you enjoy a summer evening of food, entertainment and retail therapy in our lovely downtown. Festivities kick off this year at 4:00pm and run until about 9:00pm.
