Registered Nurses Jodi Rae and Jodie Lynn expect to open the doors to their new wellness and beauty retail and service shop in downtown Millbrook later this month where they hope to help customers look and feel good.
Jodi Rae and Jodie Lynn have many things in common. They are both full-time Registered Nurses practising for 15 years most currently on the Labour and Delivery floor of the hospital in Durham.
Working together at a Medi Spa in 2013, they developed a passion for Medical Aesthetics and decided to explore putting their nursing skills to work in that field. In December 2020, they launched REVIVE Aesthetics in Peterborough offering by-appointment esthetics services including chemical peels, teeth whitening, and injections that provide temporary help in addressing wrinkles, sagging features and reduced volume attributable to aging and some designed to accelerate fat burning.
The treatments on offer are not just focussed on how their clients look but also on how they feel. Direct infusions of a variety of vitamins and vitamin B12 injections are offered to provide an immediate boost to energy levels, metabolism, sleep quality and immune systems. Jodi will also offer health and nutrition coaching services having recently completed training in this field.
New to the pair of entrepreneurs is operating a bricks and mortar location. The store, located at 15 King St. East in Millbrook, will feature a retail section at the front they are calling “The Refillery on King” and will be open Tuesdays through Saturday. They will offer cleaning and personal care products from Canadian producer under the name PURE, as well as refillable bottles, helping customers follow sustainable living practises, allowing customers to reduce, reuse and refill. Treatment rooms at the rear of the store will ensure privacy for customers.
Jodi and Jodie will be joined at this location by a permanent makeup specialist who decided to pivot in her career during maternity leave to work in the beauty industry. Following a philosophy of “less is more”, she provides natural-looking permanent beauty procedures such as microblading to create permanent eye brows as well as an inkless stretch mark correction procedure.
They hope to expand their team to include an esthetician, or a lash technology practitioners and eventually to expand the women’s health services on offer and helping customers look good and feel better. They look forward to working with customers to develop a health and beauty plan that best suits their needs.
