Homemade Christmas Gingerbread
Millbrook and District Food Share volunteers are getting organized for this year’s Christmas Hamper program. Each year this organization prepares and distributes approximately 80 Christmas Hampers for local families. These customized boxes of goodies are prepared for registered recipients only, with contents based on the size and composition of the recipient families, with a value ranging from $150 to $200. Included are non-perishable food items, fresh local produce, a grocery voucher from Foodland and $25 Walmart vouchers for each child in the family, allowing recipients to purchase particular items to make their own holiday special.
Hampers are only provided to those who register. This can be done by leaving a message at 705-932-7066 from November 1st to 26th, or by registering in person at the food bank during regular hours from November 12th to 26th. Please provide the number of children in the family and their ages. Hampers will be available for pick up on December 17th during at the Food Share location during their regular hours.
