Be sure to mark the November 6th meeting of the Millbrook & Area Garden Club on your calendar. We are fortunate to have Jeff Mason of Mason House Gardens as the guest speaker on the topic “Xeriscape Gardening – The Dry Garden”, gardening that requires no watering regardless of how hot and sunny it is.
With over 30 years of experience in the Horticulture industry, Jeff has worked in virtually every aspect of the industry. He and his mother, Marjorie Mason, developed Mason House Gardens on Brock Road in Coppins Corners, growing and supplying hardy and tender perennials, succulents, specialty annuals, heirloom and uncommon vegetables, tropical plants and shrubs. They both love new and unusual plants and have more than 1500 varieties in their nursery.
In addition to teaching “Fundamentals of Gardening” at George Brown College, Jeff lectures to garden clubs, horticultural societies and at Canada Blooms, and contributes to several gardening magazines. You can catch Marjorie on her live call-in radio gardening show “Let’s Get Growing” on Saturday mornings at 9 a.m. on 1580 AM and 107.7 FM from May to October. This is sure to be an informative and interesting meeting.
