Peterborough Curling Club’s Annual Casino Bonspiel

Peterborough Curling Club held their Annual Casino Bonspiel on Saturday November 22nd. Twelve teams competed in on ice and off ice games to accumulate points. In one such game, teams had to make a curling draw to the button but had to decide where their rock would come to rest first. If you got it right, you added points to your score. If you got it wrong, you lost your points! It made for a challenging and fun day! The annual bonspiel is a fundraiser for the curling club. Convenor Bryan Northey outdid himself. The top three curling teams, in order, were: Team Khuth, Team Robertson and Team Dunn. Peterborough Curling Club’s Team Brant Doyle battled and won the B-Side of the Amplifon Hearing Care Masters Championship Ontario Qualifier for our region at the Lindsay Curling Club on Sunday, November 23rd. The team, skipped by Brant Doyle, will go on to the Amplifon
Hearing Care Experts Masters Men & Women Provincial Championships, which are being held at the Whitby Curling Club from December 10 – 14th. Pictured from left to right are Glenn Garneys (Vice), Bob Bergmann (Lead), Brant Doyle (Skip), Barry Kramer (Second).
