Hi, Community! We are going to be talking about the outdoor classroom. Before it was merged with our school, South Monaghan had an outdoor classroom. When we heard about the moving of South Monaghan students to our school, we wanted to make them feel at home and for all the kids to have fun.
The School Board gave us some money to add a brand new outdoor classroom. Right now we have stone seats and a log “bridge.” When the South Monaghan students got to Millbrook, they were very excited to start playing outside.
We had a contest to see what we should call the outdoor classroom. Instead of the outdoor classroom, we named it The Hawks’ Nest.
Kids love this space. You can even play in it after school. When the summer comes back and when the kids get out of school, they can play in the outdoor classroom all day long. We all hope you like the outdoor classroom.
