OLG Makes Third Quarter Gaming Revenue Payments

Last month, OLG made its third quarter payments to its host municipalities.  Cavan Monaghan received a payment of $85,880 for hosting Shorelines Slots at Kawartha Downs in Fraserville, slightly lower than the first two payments of $112,579 for the second quarter and $109,068 for the first quarter for a total of $307,572 for OLG’s fiscal year to date.

Since the casino opened in November 1999, the township has received $61,295,390 in gaming revenue.

Peterborough’s gaming revenue also fell during this period.  The city received a third quarter payment of $707,495, after receiving $791,037 in the second quarter and $719,930 in the first quarter. Both locations are owned and operated by Great Canadian Gaming owns both gaming sites.

Payments are made under a formula in the Municipality Contribution Agreement, which determines the amount of funding that municipalities receive for hosting a gaming facility.

The OLG says that since 1994, host communities across the province have received more than $1.93 billion in non-tax gaming revenue. KG
