No Time for TV for this Crestwood Student

Jordan Pind 1smallExcerpt from report by Jordan Pind

The past two and a half months have been quite possibly the best months of my life and they have flown by. My first host family has been perhaps the best host family any exchange student could ever have asked for. They truly treat me like family and really care about me. They always give me pointers in Chinese homework and seize every opportunity to take me out to experience Taipei and the culture of Taiwan. I will be sad to leave their house November 11, but I’m looking forward to seeing a different household’s way of life. Today I felt very honoured when they told me not to return the key to their home tomorrow. They told me “once home is always home” and that I am family now and can come home to their home whenever. I will put this key now on my rotary jacket for a great memory.  Read more in this week’s paper.
