Next Market Sunday September 23

It’s prime market season now so be sure to come out to the next Millbrook Farmers’ Market on Sunday, September 23.  The market runs from 10:00am to 1:00pm at the Old Millbrook School, 1 Dufferin Street.

Recent rains and the ongoing heat are making for a superb crop of fresh delicious produce this year.  You will find a large selection of just picked vegetables – new potatoes, sweet corn, heirloom tomatoes, beans, peppers, cabbage, beets, greens, eggplant, onions and garlic.  Several varieties of apples are available, as well as strawberries and other fruits.

We also have an extraordinary collection of pickles, preserves and honey.  Carnivores can choose from a variety of meats, including beef, chicken, pork, lamb, rabbit, sausage and smoked fish.  If you have a sweet tooth or enjoy a glass of wine, like to garden or happen to be a dog, we have something for you too.

Local favourite Relic’s Boat will be performing live at the September 23 market.  Book hounds will want to check out the Millbrook Library’s wide ranging and popular used book sale.  And don’t forget to bring the kids.  The Millbrook EarlyON Child and Family Centre, located at the Old Millbrook School, will be open for some fun and games.

There are only two more markets left this season.  Don’t miss out.  For more information, visit our website at www.millbrookfarmersmarket.weebly.com.
