On June 13th, 2019 Toronto Made History!

The Toronto Raptors beat the Golden State Warriors 114 -110 to win the series and the Larry O’Brien trophy! With 19,596 people in the Oracle Arena on Thursday, the Raptors faced a lot of pressure. Kawhi Leonard kept his cool for most of the game until they prevailed as NBA Champs!

The Millbrook South Cavan Public School band performed at Canada’s Wonderland on Tuesday June 11th. They played 3 different songs and did a really good job. One song they performed was “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey. Another song was the “Star Wars Theme Song” by John Williams. And the third and final song was “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond. They did an amazing and everybody there knows it too! Ms. Noble is very proud of the band and how much time they spent practicing the three songs as well as getting the nerve to play in front of the crowd at the park. So, thank you band, for another great year!
End of the School Year

The 2019 school year has now ended, and so that means good- bye to projects and homework and hello to beaches and vacation! Also, on Tuesday the 25th of June, the grade eights graduated! But in two months it starts all over with assignments and more, so have fun while it lasts because it will go by fast! But at the same time, the start of school can be good – giving a new start with new teachers, new goals, and accomplishments. Also, next year there will be three new portables arriving which is kind of cool. Lastly, with all the new houses being built, there will be some more kids at the school so you can make new friends, which is always nice.
