Mark Hamblin and Rufus
Pictured is local celebrity Rufus with his trainer Mark Hamblin. A twelve-year-old Old English Bulldog, Rufus has experienced mobility challenges since his knee surgery ( we feel for you!) and as a result, has put on a few extra pounds, further exacerbating this problem. A lover of fresh air and the outdoors, Rufus is the beneficiary of the actions of his faithful owner Mark, who ensures Rufus gets out and about in his comfy wagon. Rufus and his owners have recently relocated from Scarborough to the Highlands of Millbrook, and are enjoying the change of scene. In particular, they are struck by the friendliness of the people they meet in town as they travel the streets of Millbrook, as well as the sounds of silence in the evening. When not being “walked” by his owner, Rufus can be found surveying his territory from the comfort of a soft chair in his garage on Northhill St. Don’t be deterred by his perpetual frown: Rufus welcomes pats from all passersby.
