Lauren graduated from the firefighter National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1001, Level 1 and II training program at the Eastern Ontario Emergency Training Academy ceremonies held Sunday September 18, 2022 in Norwood.
The Office of The Fire Marshall introduced mandatory certification for all Ontario Fire Services July 1, 2002. These standards are based on NFPA Professional Qualification Standards which are generally accepted as best practices for Fire Services. The Township of Cavan Monaghan Fire Department has been training and obtaining certification for its members to this standard for the past decade.
