New Christmas Farmers’ Market – Sunday November 24

If you haven’t already saved the date, mark your calendars now.  On Sunday November 24, the Millbrook Farmers’ Market will be hosting their first ever Christmas Market.  It’s shaping up to be a fun filled and festive event.

Our original plan was to hold a traditional European-style outdoor market at our usual venue.  However, based on the success of last Sunday’s market at the old Millbrook arena and the feedback we got from both customers and vendors, we have decided to move the event indoors (I can hear the cheers).

The new Christmas Market on November 24 will be held at the old Millbrook arena on Needler’s Lane.  The arena is located just south of the downtown core, behind the new dental office and former TD Bank building.  The market will run from 10:00am to 1:00pm.

Upwards of 50 vendors have signed on, including most of our regulars.  We have brought in several new local vendors who will be selling a wide assortment of handcrafted items including wood crafts, soap, pottery, knitwear, textiles, jewellery, paintings, Christmas ornaments, seasonal decorations and cards.   Dawson Tree Farm from the Zion Line will have Christmas trees for sale.

Among the vendors are Lisa Noble’s grade 7 class at Millbrook South Cavan Public School.  Her students have been busy making arts and crafts for the market, the proceeds of which will go to a charity of the students’ choice.   The EarlyON Child and Family Centre will also be on hand warming things up with some hot chocolate.   There will be hot food, drinks and Christmas carollers.  Come out and enjoy the festivities on November 24 at the old Millbrook arena.  Please note, some early promotional materials do not reflect our change in venue.
