Last week, the Mount Pleasant Women’s Institute hosted the Peterborough District Annual Meeting at their hall, where they gathered to complete District business and discuss the organization’s mandate of community outreach, advocacy and education. Once business was complete and a delicious pot luck lunch was consumed, the members prepared donated purses and tote bags of personal hygiene products to be distributed to vulnerable women and children in our community. The Women’s Institute is always looking for new members. Joining the local WI is a great way to get involved and connected with your community and they invite you to join them.
