This was the fourth time the local OHL team competed at the CMCC in a preseason game. The event was hosted by Millbrook Minor Hockey as a fundraiser in their efforts to subsidize registration fees to keep the cost of hockey more affordable.
The event kicked off featuring local talent as Deana Earle sang the national anthem and the ceremonial puck drop was performed by Cindy and Lisa Thertell in honour of their late husband and father Orville.
