Millbrook Community Garden Seeks Volunteers

Photo Joanne Roland. The Community Garden at a moment of summer splendor. It offers beauty and bounty to local residents through the efforts of community volunteers.

As I write this, it is unknown if the pandemic will require complete lockdown in future. I am hopeful that if social distancing is continued, we can still garden. The Community Garden started 8 years ago as a way to produce fresh vegetables for our local Food Share and also to provide small plots of soil for individuals to grow their own food. It has also provided a beautiful spot for the public to enjoy. The garden is located at the Old Millbrook Public school.  The beautiful center flower garden is looked after by volunteers from the Millbrook Garden Club. We are looking for volunteers to help with the Community section(for Food Share).

If you would be willing to volunteer or would like an individual plot($5-10./season) please contact Joanne at 705-932 3214 or email joannerowland@gmail.com.
