As we slowly get through this fourth wave of COVID-9, the Millbrook Lions’ Club has been active in your community.
The Lions’ food trailer was at the Truck & Tractor Pull on September 4th feeding drivers and spectators geared up for a great Labour Day event. The Lions’ club gave a portion of the proceeds to the Millbrook Agricultural Society due to their absence for the last two years due to the pandemic. Next, the Lions’ Food Trailer served at the “Touch a Truck” event. This great event for young and old showcased unique equipment and emergency vehicles. The fare served up by the Lions at any event is always crowd pleasing and on September 25th a share of the profit was donated to the Cavan-Monaghan Firefighters’ Association. As Millbrook was celebrating its fall harvest on King Street on October 2nd, the Lions’ food truck parked amongst the kid zone, farmers market, live entertainment and craft vendors. Your friendly Lion volunteers served up their usual fare and again donated part of their profits to the Millbrook BIA to be used by the Decorating Committee for downtown Millbrook.
The Millbrook and District Lions would like to thank the community for their continued support of the food trailer. As you can see, the money raised is then returned back to community groups for even more service in our town and surrounding area.
