With two fairs cancelled due to COVID, the Millbrook Agricultural Society has been eager to get back to hosting events.  Committee Chair, Kyle Fitzgerald, came up with the idea of hosting a single day event incorporating some of the most popular events at the annual fair.  The event is known as a “Bush Pull”, where trucks and tractors show their stuff.  There are no prizes, but each winner in each class of competition will secure bragging rights until the next opportunity to compete. Local diesel and gas trucks will pull once, while circuit pullers can pull multiple times,  hence the “test and tune.”

Among the Pulling Classes are 2 Wheel Drive Tractor, FWA Class, Articulating Tractor Class, Hot Stock 5500lb, Super Stock 6000lb, Super Mod 4X4, 2WD Modified Tractors, Single Engine Modified Tractor, Multiple Engine Modified, Local Diesel , Local Gas, Pro Street Diesel Trucks, Pro Mod Diesel Trucks, Highway Tractors, Dump Trucks, Light Pro Stock, Heavy Pro Stock, Modified Farm Tractors.

The event runs from 11 am to 8pm at the Millbrook Fairgrounds on Frederick Street.  The Pit gates open at 9am and the spectator gates open at 10am.   General Admission Tickets are $10/person and 12 and under are Free!  Ticket price includes HST. Tickets are available online only as of August 4th at 8am by visiting https://eventsprout.com/event/millbrook-fair-test-tune.

Patrons will need to complete the COVID-19 Self Assessment tool before arriving on the day of the event.  Visit https://covid-19.ontario.ca/self-assessment/.   Licensed refreshments will be available. Masks are required.  The event will adhere to all COVID-19 restrictions.

Thanks to the Millbrook Agricultural Society and the Fair Board for organizing this event which will bring some welcome activity to the fairgrounds which have been silent for too long! KG
