MLCFC is very happy to announce that we have been successful in obtaining a $50,000.00 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to support our programs over the next year. The grant is from the Community Building Fund and is intended to assist MLCFC’s efforts to restore the Club’s resilience and capacity as we return to building and sustaining our healthy & vibrant soccer community – post COVID!
“We know COVID-19 has presented challenges for local sports leagues and how much the community has missed getting out and taking part in team sports,” said Laurie Scott, MPP for Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock. “That’s why our government is providing grants to help non-profit organizations like Maple Leaf Cavan FC so they can adapt to the pressures of the pandemic and continue to deliver programming that is critical to the economic and social well-being of communities.”
