First of all, congratulations to the Cavan FC Men’s Team who finished the 2018 Season as double Champions, taking home the Ontario Soccer League – Frank Docherty Cup & Winning the Central East Division of the Ontario Soccer League.
Top Honours also awarded to team Captain Mark Van beek who won the Golden Boot award for Top Goal Scorer and the Most Valuable Player, along with net minder Jared Foxon who picked up the Top Goal Keeper Award. Also recognized was Head Coach Alex Penello winning the trophy for Regional Coach of the year. As a result of their success, the Men’s team is being promoted and will advance to the Provincial Level for 2019. Watch for the opening of registration for the upcoming House League Soccer season. Online Registration will be available on our website www.mlcfc.com in early February, and in person registration takes place at Lansdowne Place Mall on Saturday Feb 9th from 9:30 to 5:30 and Sunday Feb 10th from 9:30 to 5:00pm. This year, all players from U4-U12 will receive a soccer ball and a soccer bag with their registration. We will also hold our first ever House League Festival for U6 to U12 at Maple Leaf Park on the weekend of May 25th.
