Millbrook TOPS members lost weight and wanted to share their success by making a Heart Felt Donation on February 14 to the local food bank.

By donating in dollars, the number of pounds the chapter lost in 2018, the goal is to provide others with opportunities for healthier food choices.

A Charter Member of the local food bank since 1997, Clark Mayhew, visited TOPS on Valentine’s Day to pick up the donation.  The money is much appreciated and helps individuals and families.

Volunteers are welcome to stock the shelves and pack the food which is available at the “Old School” in the Harry Williams Room three Tuesdays a month.  On duty are also Jim Cooper and Brian Reynolds, working with two volunteers.  Food can be picked up, or food donated between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm on those Tuesdays.

TOPS is now celebrating 15 years in Millbrook, promoting healthier lifestyles, support and accountability.  Members attend weekly meetings on Thursday evenings at the St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church at 28 King St. in Millbrook.  Weigh-ins take place from 6:00 to 6:40 pm, followed by a 45-minute informative meeting.  Come and sit in on a meeting for free.  Weekly dues are $3.00.
